I didn't like this movie at all. It was another movie that I kept waiting for it to end. I will never watch this movie again. I have no idea how this movie won Best Picture. It wasn't even that great of a movie. To me the movie was about how a 40 something year old married man wanted to sleep with a 17 year old girl who was the friend of his daughter. Why would people think that is a Best Picture winner? I just don't get it. I was talking to my mom about this and I told her I should be the person who decides what movie should win. I think if I was in charge some of the winners would not have won and the movies that should have won would have. I was looking at the other nominees and I was surprised that The Green Mile didn't win. I believe that movie should have won Best Picture. Anyway, I was not impressed with this movie at all but I was surprised at the ending. I would not recommend this movie to anyone but if you are interested in watching it that's fine.
1999- Shakespeare In Love
I actually really liked this movie. This is a movie that I will probably watch again. I didn't think I would like this movie but I did. I don't care for Gwyneth Paltrow but I thought she did a very good job in this movie. I got so into the movie that I was surprised when it was over. It moved quickly and it didn't lag in any parts that it didn't feel like it was a 2 hour movie. I would recommend this movie to anyone who would like to see this movie.
I was looking on line to see who the actor was who played William Shakespeare and was surprised that he is the younger brother of Ralph Fiennes. If you don't know who Ralph Fiennes is he is the actor who played Lord Voldemort.
I was also looking at the other nominees and was surprised to see that Saving Private Ryan was nominated but didn't win. I have seen Saving Private Ryan and I thought it was a very well done movie. Since I like both of these movies it is hard for me to say which one I think should have won. Obviously Shakespeare In Love won but I think Saving Private Ryan would have been a great winner too.
